U Can Do-It-Yourself Storage and Moving Containers
U Can Store & Move is a do-it-yourself local container service offering the convenience of:
- Daily, weekly, or monthly useage periods
- Storage at your residence or our warehouse facility during your renovation or move
- Enough space to hold the main contents of a 1,500 sq. ft. house
- Transportation from one location to another within the same locality
- Freedom from the time constraints of a truck rental at an economical price
Local Moves
Local moves are based on an hourly rate and will depend on the size of the truck and the number of men required to complete your move safely and efficiently. New Way Cartage Inc. can provide services such as packing, crating and storage for an additional charge.
Depending on the size and complexity of your move, a New Way Consultant may need to do an in-home survey of the goods to be moved. Planning for your local move is important. Book your move as far in advance as possible to ensure the very best service. If you are moving to or from an apartment or condo you will need to book the elevator in advance to ensure availability. Try to avoid the end of the month, especially in June, July and August as moving companies are usually booked to capacity.
In order to give you a quote on your local move, your New Way Agent will need to know:
- how many rooms are in your home
- if you are moving to or from an apartment or condo
- what articles you may have in storage
- if you are planning to move your appliances or a piano
- if there are any articles that because of their weight, size or location may be difficult to move

Container Service
New Way Cartage can offer you the flexibility of using traditional van service or container service on your long distance move. New Way containers are the perfect solution for moves that require short-term storage (up to 30 days). Because your shipment is stored in the same container in which it was loaded, your shipment does not have to be unloaded into a warehouse and re-loaded onto another truck for delivery once your new home is ready. This means less handling and less chance of damage.
Container Service can offer you:
- Flexible delivery or delayed delivery (up to 30 days)
- Less handling
- Exclusive use option available
- Service to and from major centres within Canada
